Shatoyia Falls was born and raised in Charlotte, North Carolina. Shatoyia was raised by her grandmother from early childhood until she reached eighteen. Although she yearned for the love of her biological parents as a child, it was never a realization for her. As a result, Shatoyia searched for love in all the wrong places. She eventually discovered that a child who does not receive love is more than likely to misbehave and will exhibit challenges in developing healthy relationships with others. Notwithstanding, during Shatoyia’s youth, she encountered a pattern of unhealthy relationships that she tried unsuccessfully to maintain due to her lack of self-worth at that time. Shatoyia eventually answered God’s calling on her life to move to a place where she had never been before. God ordered her steps to Miami, Florida, at the tender age of twenty-three, leaving behind her family and friends. It was in Miami where Shatoyia studied to receive her master’s degree in social work. It was also where she developed an intimate relationship with God, and it was the place where God began her healing process. He restored her soul from the emotional wounds inflicted upon her during childhood—wounds she had not known she had. Since then, God has consecrated Shatoyia to preach the gospel and heal broken hearts with the anointing of restoration He has bestowed upon her life.
Shatoyia is a firm believer that “man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of God” (Matt. 4:4). Hence, Shatoyia encourages and empowers the lives of God’s people through the Word of God and the leading of the Holy Spirit. Her primary goal is to restore hope and birth purpose in a person’s pain. We are reminded in His Word that all things were created for a purpose. Shatoyia provides conferences, seminars, mentoring, and products to help people live through pain and discover this irreplaceable joy found in their purposes. Throughout her painful experiences being brokenhearted in many seasons, she has birthed “Purpose in Brokenness, School of Valor” and lives are being transformed, empowered, and delivered into their destinies.
Shatoyia has a heart after God; she desires to see all His people overcome calamity and reach their fullest potentials. She understands that without love, it will get you nowhere. Love creates opportunities, not only for yourself but others as well. Presently, Shatoyia is an author, motivational speaker, entrepreneur, and a mentor to many. She remains a servant and a prisoner of the Lord. Additionally, she is a psychotherapist, providing individual, couple, and family counseling services. She is also pursuing her Ph.D. in Family Therapy at Nova Southeastern University in Fort Lauderdale, Florida.
